Rev. King's Philosophy
Your Vows ...
Any couple getting married needs to have a part in their own
ceremony, so they know what they are agreeing to. Since a
ceremony supports the direction they are heading in, it is
important to choose words to define their path. What makes
Lucie King's ceremonies unique is the opportunity to truly
have a wedding which reflects who you are, both as individuals
and as a couple. Ceremonies have been created to: incorporate
children, use the four directions and other Native American
prayer, use self-written vows and incorporate sacred songs. A
wedding is a place to claim a foundation of love as a
beginning point for building a couple's home and life
together. Being non-denominational means the focus is on the
couple and their vows, rather than a particular doctrine. From
vow renewals to spiritual commitments, Lucie aids in the
forming of a clear intent and develops a ceremony to engage
both participants and guests. "I think people are in a peak
experience when taking their vows." She adds, "To use that
energy and love to set a direction, it is very
exciting."
"All the people...agreed you were the perfect choice to
give us our special day...Thanks so much for everything, and
especially your laughter."
